Ernest "Ernie" Khaw
|
Having spent his childhood in Myanmar, Ernie has always had a heart to return and give back to that region. That desire began in his early years when he, his parents, and four siblings immigrated to the United States in 1979. His family moved to Oregon and settled in the city of Portland.
Ernie went to high school and college in Oregon, studied at Oregon State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1988. He continued his education and earned a Master of Science Degree from Oregon Graduate Institute in 1990. Since college, he has been working as an Engineer and a Manager in the Semiconductor Industry. After retirement, Ernie spends most of his time in SE Asia. |
Raymond Mu

Raymond Mu was born in Myanmar and immigrated to the United States in 1993. He finished his Internal Medicine Residence Training in 1999 and started his medical practice with The Permanente Medical Group, Manteca, California. He is currently holding position as Chief of Professional Staff Well Being Committee and Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He is also a Senior Pastor of Myanmar Christian Church of Sacramento. He and his wife Victoria have three children and reside in Manteca, California. He is servicing Myanmar communities in the United States and Myanmar through church ministry, mission projects and online ministry. |

Dr. Smith is a Professor Emeritus of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon, USA. He graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1965 and completed his Otolaryngology residency at the same institution in 1973, after spending two years with the American Peace Corps in Kenya. Dr. Smith was part of the Otolaryngology faculty at OHSU from 1973 to 1996. He has also been a visiting professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), both full-time and part-time, from 1997 to 2018.
With extensive teaching experience at several institutions in Africa and Asia, Dr. Smith has a special interest in medical education and postgraduate training programs. His passion lies in using healthcare education as a mission field to serve the Lord. He serves with Medical Education International and the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons, which trains African surgeons in mission hospitals. |

Subha Bose

Subha was born in Calcutta, India. After completing his Bachelors in Information Technology from his hometown, he pursued a Master's in Remote Sensing from Chennai, India, following which he started working at the Indian Space Research Organization in Ahmedabad, India, where he was involved in the analysis of remotely sensed data from Mars Curiosity rover.
Following the submission of his PhD thesis (at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra) he is now working as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Physical Research Laboratory in Ahmedabad, India. His hobbies include traveling, listening to music and cooking (from time to time). Subha has a big heart to help the poor and underprivileged youth and children in underdeveloped countries. |
Jim Stronach |
Jim is a native Oregonian and 1971 graduate of Portland State University. He was an elementary school teacher in Hillsboro for 37 years, the last twelve of which sharing a class with his wife, Rachelan. During those years, he taught Sunday School and coached youth sports teams. Since retiring, Jim has continued to teach Sunday School with Rachelan and volunteers at a local school assisting in a math class.
Jim is on two other boards, both with a focus on children. Camp Tapawingo is primarily a Christian camp for young people. Kindred Partners’ main initiative is Safe Families for Children, an organization that uses a circle of support from churches to come alongside families while they experience a time of need. Whether in teaching, church activities, board work, walking, reading or vacation, Jim and Rachelan enjoy time together and supporting one another. We are pleased to be a part of ForgetNot International. |
Rachelan Stronach |
Rachelan, a Chicago native, is a 1976 graduate of Illinois College and completed her elementary education degree at Portland State University. She taught twenty years for the Beaverton School District in Oregon, mostly 5th and 6th grade. Rachelan continued teaching for another twelve years with her husband, Jim, for the Hillsboro School District.
In retirement, Rachelan has taught ESOL, is facilitating a Bible Study, is involved in small group leadership, and is co-teaching Sunday School with Jim. She’s secretary for the Camp Tapawingo Board and supports Jim in his endeavors with Safe Families. Books, music, movies, walking, connecting people, and traveling with Jim are high on her list. Being involved with ForgetNot is a natural extension of her love for kids and learning. |

Mukul is currently a Silicon Strategist at Google managing leading edge technologies in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, Video and Storage chips. He has over 25 years of Computer Hardware, Chip design, Silicon manufacturing and Silicon sourcing experience. He has taken five chip programs from concept to production.
He is very passionate about people development and most of his interns and employees are now senior leaders at the Magnificent 7. Mukul has an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg, an MS from Stanford University and a BS from IIT Delhi, India. He is the founder of Estrategy, which was sold to Trilogy and an advisor to ARK Technologies and Find-me-a-shoe. He holds 17 patents and has over 15 publications. He has two kids and enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and Indian classical music. |
